Tuesday, May 23, at 6:00 p.m.

Aurora Public Library – Santori Library

101 South River Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506 (Rooms 125/126)

Kane County is the fifth most populous county in the State of Illinois with two major metropolitan cities — Elgin and Aurora. Both Elgin and Aurora span multiple county jurisdictions and are in close proximity to the City of Chicago allowing for easy transportation access. Aurora is the second largest city in the state and the largest in Kane County.

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office and the Aurora Public Library will present a Forum to address the interrelated issues on gangs and drugs. Guest speakers include former gang members, counselors, law enforcement officers, and presenters with special topical knowledge. The Forum will be followed by a question and answer session. Presenters include African American Men of Unity, Kane County Sheriff’s Office, and, the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Please join the Kane County Sheriff’s Office as they present the little known facts on community initiatives that are taking place right in our own back yards to combat gangs and reduce the flow of drugs to our local neighborhood youth and schools.
