16th Annual Hispanic Heritage Breakfast Set for Next Month

The Aurora Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board (AHHAB) will host its 16th Annual Community Breakfast at 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 14.

The annual community-wide event brings together hundreds of supporters to celebrate excellence in Aurora’s Hispanic community by honoring students and community leaders for their commitment to the City of Lights.

AAHAB will award more than $20,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current college students. In addition, awards will be presented to emerging leaders in high school and winners of the board’s elementary and middle school coloring, poster and essay contests.

Recipients of the coveted 2018 Pete Perez, Delia Basile and Maria Merced Awards will also be honored.
