The Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora – The club that fights Diabetes – is sponsoring “Picnic with a Point!” on Saturday, September 21 at Prairie Point Park in Oswego. Meet members of the club, others who are affected by diabetes and enjoy food, fun and entertainment. Everyone welcome!

Celebrate the simple pleasures of the fall harvest on September 21-22 at The Growing Place Fall Fest with many seasonal treats and activities. Bring the whole family and enjoy tractor pulled hayrides, children’s crafts and games, traditional folk music, and more.

First Ward Alderman Abby Schuler has been selected to join City of Aurora‘s Finance Department as an accountant starting September 16, 2013. Information on the application process to fill the Alderman vacancy will be posted on the City of Aurora’s website.

The Zombie Invasion 5K will invade Blackberry Farm on Saturday, September 21, where a “race for survival” will spread across the grounds as darkness descends. Participants will not only run a 5K, but will scurry through a sea of zombies and obstacles. Registration ends September 12 – Sign up today with the Fox Valley Park District to be a runner or a zombie!
