Village of North Aurora
The Village of North Aurora is a place of growth and prosperity, dedicated to making the most of its history to promote a successful future. The year 2005 marked the Village’s 100th birthday.
Built on family values, dedication and hard work, North Aurora carries on the tradition started in 1905. Located in the heart of Chicago’s western suburbs, North Aurora is quaintly situated along the Fox River in Kane County.
Nearly 17,500 people reside in the area (some who are second and third generation residents), and a diverse blend of business and industry fuels a strong commerce base. School District 129 continues to inspire educational excellence, and residents rely on the expert care of four major healthcare providers.
The Village’s motto is “Crossroads on the Fox.” North Aurora is a progressive community in a great location that encourages future growth and development while maintaining a family-oriented community with plenty to offer. The Village offers many parks, a nature center and bike trails along the Fox River corridor. We also have a variety of retail establishments along the Orchard and Randall Road corridors. With easy access to and from entertainment and business in downtown Chicago and the I-88 Tollway, as well as Route 25, Route 31 and the Randall Road corridor, all roads lead to North Aurora, the Crossroads on the Fox.
